JONETSU ENGAGEMENT SESSION : KIM & VIC

We could sit and talk to Kim and Vic for hours.  And we have.  So much fun exploring two areas of town they’ve spent much of their time together in over the years: their engagement session took place in Granville Island and Yaletown.  K&V, we’re so looking forward to your wedding- you two are comfort and magic together. xo c

I love the heat in this image:

Welcome, Sweet Baby “P” at 1 week… Sneak Peek!

I get a little sloppy and emotional when I think about Leanne & Dan and the gorgeous family they’ve made together.  What a privilege to be there capturing images and enjoying their friendship since their engagement session years ago.  Nothing makes me happier than seeing images we’ve taken on so many walls and surfaces in the house.  The years have gone by so quickly, it seems, and now to see little P in their arms, ‘completing’ the family (as they say- but honestly, I hope they just continue making babies because L&D make some super sweet kids).  Here is gorgeous baby P (and her big brothers who just adore their little sister- can’t you tell?!).

Chadwick is grooming little T to be our newest assistant.  Sorry dear Julian, he may lack the skills, but he is cuter than you 😉

JONETSU ENGAGEMENT SESSION: STEPHANIE & IVAN

Going crazy these days.  Loving every minute of it.  Weddings, engagement sessions, babies, albums, traveling…  Time for a mini vacay with my love and our two sweet hounds.

First:  Stephanie & Ivan.  Sexy, authentic couple.  I adore their profiles.  We could really shoot them at any angle and they’ll look amazing.  Here are a bunch of images from their engagement session.  S&I- we love you guys- and your Mom, and your Godmother etc… 😉 so many more images, but here ya go:  xo c

Just beuatiful!!

10 minutes on the deck.

The weather has been the pits- feels like November in July these days.  We saw a few rays of sun from the office window, so Chadwick and I took a ten minute break from computer madness to relax on the deck.  The succulents are exploding (I’m sure they’ve all quadrupled in size since we planted them late April).  The grasses are all feathery and there is a lot of flowering on the go.  Not sure I love all the flowery bits- (I love succulents for their structural design) but I have to say, we felt like we were in paradise for those 10 minutes.  So did the dogs.  Our little space.  I want nothing more in life when I’m here.  Pure contentment in the moment.

Our new black-stained herb planters were made by the wonderful John in Chilliwack.  Email me if you want his info.- he’s really lovely (thanks for the tip, Reine).

I hope you get a chance to get outside during the little light-filled moments that shine around you. xo c
