Peter: JONETSU Face Picture (blip entry)

Here is Peter, photographed in studio for his newest head shots.  I really liked this portrait- it’s a little cheeky and totally sweet- it’s so Peter.

Nicole MacRae - December 1, 2010 - 7:45 pm

I would just like to add that this is one of many great shots of Peter that were taken that day. I sent four of my favorites to Peter’s agent who thought they were “fantastic”.
Camille and Chadwick really knew how to “work” Peter too, they are total pros!

Snow Day: Fur Faces (us) plus hounds

Snowy days are rare on the west coast of BC (excluding the mountains, of course!).  Also rare: photographing our own (furry) family.  Rarer yet: showing pictures of ourselves, gulp.  Here we are with our little whippets NiNi and Mya.  Feeling kind of shy, but here it goes…

Gorgeous post! Don’t be shy! And on a side note, that is perhaps the best scarf I’ve ever seen…

Emma Rose - November 26, 2010 - 2:35 pm

Gorgeous! Thanks for posting, even if shy 🙂 Can’t remember seeing that much snow when I lived in Vancouver, that’s for sure!

Holy crap… could you guys GET any more gorgeous? You make such a beautiful couple.

I loooove this post!! The fur, the snow… getting excited for our engagement shoot 😀

Thanks for sharing the beauty – such a gorgeous family. Ditto about the scarf. Is Chadwick wearing a hat under the fur?
Style, talent and beauty… plus the doggies – what can you possibly be shy about =D

ps. camille – is that a film mamiya around your neck – or a digi? show the pics!!! 🙂

Thanks so much for your comments you guys *blush* – you’re way too sweet! OK, the scarf is indeed my favorite of all time- got in Paris in 2005 in the middle of August! We were there to shoot a wedding and had prepared for extreme heat and it was actually cold enough we needed some winter wear (aka excuse to shop).
Karen, yes, Chadwick is wearing a ball cap- it worked out well for him as it kept his hood from flying off- mine was always flying off!
Sherri- b&w film- still working on my expired film project- slowly but surely! 🙂

JONETSU HOLIDAY LOVE

As I’m writing this, the snowflakes are falling and I can’t help but wish I had a rum and eggnog in hand- but alas, it’s just after 11am (I’ll have to wait a few more hours!).

Had a great time at the Wedluxe magazine party last night- so fun seeing all of the great people in the Vancouver wedding industry- and what a stylish bunch!  When I looked around at the party at the Vancouver Aquarium (who featured some commercial shots we did for them a few years back- my favorite is one of a martini with beautiful jellyfish swimming past.  Boy, that was fun technically!) I just felt really happy and warm.  People were smiling and hugging and it didn’t have that stale “networking” type feel to it: genuine friendships-a-plenty!

This post is a reminder that this coming Monday is the final day to get your print orders in time for pick-up at the studio before Christmas.  Album deadlines have come and gone, as have Holiday Card deadlines (thank you to all who have ordered these yummy things already!).

If you had intended on gifting your family or friends with photography love from JONETSU, fear not- we have gift certificates available in denominations above $100.  We accept Visa & MC, certificates are custom designed and can be mailed directly for your convenience.  Please send us an email with the denomination you’d like- who it is for, who it is from and a phone number for us to call you for CC# information (please don’t send credit card info by email for security & peace of mind).

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.  xo c

JONETSU portraits: blip entry

Lots and lots of family session love these days.  We are now fully booked for family sessions until March 2011, please let us know if you’d like to book a session after that time- we’d love to photograph you and your family! (fur babies too!)

Here is a sweet moment with baby on the way for one of our “Baby’s First Year” clients.  Jaime & Neil are former wedding clients- love seeing these families grow!:
