Those of you who have visited the studio have know about our Jonetsu Dreamscapes for a long time. \u00a0Since we’ve finally updated the website , showcasing what we’ve been up to, we’ve received lots of inquiries about these art pieces.<\/p>\n

What’s a JONETSU DREAMSCAPE?<\/p>\n

I (Camille, that’s me) have been working in photography-based artwork since high school (ahem, a while now, it’s true). \u00a0Photography, paint, barbed wire, you name it \u00a0(some old high school friends reading this- you know how you’ve been my guinee pigs- Jen, Hanah!). \u00a0Picked up some pretty cool scholarships for all my craziness.<\/p>\n

For years, I didn’t practice my multi-media art (aside from straight up photographic activities- darkroom blah blah, then switching to shooting digital, oh boy).<\/p>\n

It’s taken me a while to learn & love digital photography and Photoshop. \u00a0Plenty of hard work. \u00a0Now I can be creative: \u00a0I can produce almost anything that’s in my mind’s eye. \u00a0I’ve busted my butt to aquire the tools and now I’m free to express myself again. \u00a0Dreamscapes are my interpretation of a session, a scene, a feeling, whatever. \u00a0I choose the images, I work it up, layer it according to my personal sense of balance, drink some wine and chat with Chadwick about it and I put a lot of love into them. \u00a0They are ethereal, dreamy and you just may not like them. \u00a0It took me months to share them with anyone, I was nervous they wouldn’t be appreciated, but I made them for myself, afterall.<\/p>\n

Turns out, some folks actually love them. \u00a0Lots.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Any session can become a Jonetsu original Dreamscape.<\/p>\n

They are printed and stretched on canvas (they are BIG) and I embellish them with authentic gold or silver leafing. \u00a0You need to see them in person to feel them. \u00a0I think of them as a bit of a “sexy mess”. They take a long time to make, like the albums I design. \u00a0So if you want one, please find your zen mode.<\/p>\n

I just finished a small one from images I shot in Japan this March. \u00a0It’s called Graduation Day:<\/p>\n
